Unmet Need Finding

Research and Development is the most prominent pillar of our Company. We have vast areas of Research, which is given below.

Overview

The Bio-Design process is a structured approach to identifying unmet needs within healthcare systems and developing innovative solutions that can address these gaps. Over a three-month period, a comprehensive survey and fieldwork were conducted to understand the existing challenges faced by healthcare professionals, patients, and their families. This process involved engaging with more than 100 stakeholders across various healthcare settings, including hospitals, Primary Health Centres (PHCs), and other relevant places..

Methodology

  • Field Surveys: Conducted surveys in 20 hospitals and PHCs to observe the healthcare environment, understand workflows, and pinpoint areas where existing systems failed to meet the needs of patients and medical staff.

  • Site Visits: Visited 8 different healthcare facilities to get a firsthand understanding of the infrastructure, equipment, and day-to-day operations. This helped in identifying both macro-level systemic issues and micro-level challenges within specific departments.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engaged in conversations with over 100+ stakeholders, including doctors, nurses, patients, and family members. Feedback from these diverse groups provided invaluable insights into the pain points experienced at various touchpoints within the healthcare system..

Key Insights from Stakeholder Feedback

  • Doctors often cited issues like outdated equipment, inefficient patient management systems, and time constraints due to administrative overload, impacting the quality of care they could provide.

  • Nurses highlighted difficulties in managing patient data and coordinating with multiple departments, which slowed down the decision-making process and affected patient care continuity.

  • Patients and their families emphasized concerns over the lack of personalized care, poor communication from healthcare providers, and long wait times for diagnosis and treatment.
